MES Nights at McDonald's

Student Council will be holding several McDonald's Nights in order to raise money for Murrieta Elementary School. The first night will be Wednesday, February 25th, from 5-8pm at the McDonald's on Madison Avenue. The other nights will be Tuesday, March 24th and Tuesday, April 28th (same time same place). Remember to come with a parent or guardian. This will be a fun event. Hope to see you there!

DARE Instruction is coming to MES for 5th graders!

5th graders will begin instruction in the district sponsored DARE program starting on February 5th. B & C Tracks will spend 8 weeks learning about Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education from a trained Murrieta Police Officer- Officer Dennis Vrooman.

Each Thursday, Officer Vrooman will instruct the 5th graders using the approved DARE materials. Parents are invited to attend.

A special DARE Parent Information Night is scheduled for March 12th at 6:30pm in Room 1. More information will be coming soon!

This experience brings in a "hands-on" exhibit that lets our students experience what it was like back in the pioneer days of our western history.

Students get the chance to pan for gold, play with authentic pioneer toys, learn history as they weave cloth, and many other activities.

The Pioneer Living Experience turns our MPR into a pioneer town!

FAMILY READING NIGHT January 21,1998 @ 6 pm!!

Bring your blanket, pillow, parents, siblings, friends, and a favorite book to read. Readers include Mr. Lorimer, Mrs. Smyth, and Mrs. Michaud. A PTC General Meeting will follow at 7pm.

"Earth Tales" by the storytelling group, We Tell Stories, will be presented in the Multipurpose Room at 9:30, 10:30, and 1:45.
