A "Position" of the League of Women Voters is more than the name usually implies.  Positions are statements of principles agreed upon by members after a specific study process  (See Current Studies).  The positions on this page are Local Positions of the League of Women Voters of Ventura County.  There are also State and National Positions (See LWVC and LWVUS).  No position is adopted without member involvement through study, discussion and consensus, after which a vote is taken at the Local, State, or National Conventions.  Any action taken by the League must be based on Local, State or National Positions.
