September 9th, 2 p.m.. ‘Clip & Come’ meeting for members to come with
clippings,
articles or ideas about topics or issues of interest to help plan this
year’s unit meetings. E. P.

LWV
VC MEMBERSHIP MEETING
September 25th
, Saturday – 10 a.m., Crowne Plaza, 450 E. Harbor Blvd, Ventura (on the top
floor, Bay View Room). Reserve for
Brunch and program by sending $ 25 check to LWV VC, PO Box 787, Ventura, CA
93002, postmarked
by September 15th.
$30 for
all other reservations (space
permitting). Call Pam (797-4757) for late reservation. Attendees will
receive validation for parking lot or structure adjacent to the hotel.
Please come to
help us kick off the new program year,
meet Chris Carson, our new state training advisor, and visit
the site of the May 2011 LWVC Convention.
Note:
Those who reserve and do not attend will still be charged for brunch. No
charge for attending program only but space may be limited.

October 30th,
Saturday -- LWVC Regional Workshop,
hosted by San Luis Obispo League – Details will follow. Topics will include
redistricting, guidance on advocacy vs. non-partisanship, membership and
leadership development.
This is
always a great opportunity for improving our local league, meeting state
leaders, and mingling with those from other Leagues. Plan to attend!
